This outddor installation shows how Magnús Pálsson engages history with an intimate touch. It is dedicated to the sons of Njáll who are the main characters in the tragic Njáls Saga, the best known and most read of the medieval Icelandic sagas. Represented by typewriters, the procession of characters is led by a car number plate starting with the letter L, which designated the district where the saga took place, and the number 1010, most likely the year when Njáll was burnt by his son's enemies, marking the tragic high-point of the saga.
