New York:

Elín Hansdóttir at Frieze Projects

Elín's architectural interventions turn traditional spaces of display and social interaction into sensorial environments that challange viewer's senses of perception and expectation. Her lyrical site-specific installations, which are often barely visible to the eye, frame the space of engagement between the work and the viewer. For Frieze Art Fair (October 11-14) Elín is invited to realize a light installation that transforms the entrance to the fair. The customary neutral white light of presentation will be broken into its spectral elements and the entrance passage lent the form of a modern day Plato’s cave.
