Akureyri Art Museum:

Buddah in the North

The Akureyri Art Museum has mounted an exhibition entitled "The Buddah is in Akureyri", featuring works by Finnbogi Pétursson, Erla Þórarinsdóttir, Bill Viola and Halldór Ásgeirsson. As these are all first-rate artists, we expect a strong exhibition though the Buddhist connection is not immediately apparent. The exhibition is accompanied by an large-format catalogue that includes extensive essays by Buddhist Sigurður Skúlason, museum director Hannes Sigurðsson and Osho himself.
